BalkanCom 2024
As the name suggests, the BalkanCom is held annually in a country of the Balkan Peninsula. The goal of the conference is to bring together researchers in academia, research labs and industry from all over the world to this historical region. The conference addresses the important challenges in the evolving world of Communications and Networking, while at the same time bolstering the potential and talent that is found in this exciting and dynamic region.
BalkanCom 2021
The fourth edition of the conference took place on September 20-22, 2021 in Novi Sad, Serbia. The theme of the conference, “Wireless Future in the New Decade,” is fitting not only for the Balkan Peninsula, but globally, heralding a new decade of innovation and groundbreaking progress in the ICT domain.
We carry forward the spirit of “Balkans without the borders,” in order to support and boost the knowledge and technology transfer in the area and among the neighboring countries.
BalkanCom 2021 continues the best tradition of scientific conferences of being completely and totally not for profit. Like the best conferences of this genre, it is in fact the first one to target the region of the Balkans with the sole objective of enhancing the potential of the scientific communities in the Balkan countries to get involved in research on a global scale.

We are driven by values and ideas
We carry forward the spirit of “Balkans without the borders,” in order to support and boost the knowledge and technology transfer in the area and among the neighboring countries.

“Networking is fundamentally about connecting stuff, and studying it helps you make intellectual connections: Ant foraging & Bee dances demonstrate protocol design better than RFCs, traffic jams or people leaving a packed stadium are the essence of congestion, and students finding flights back to school in a post-Thanksgiving blizzard are the core of dynamic routing.”
Van Jacobson

“The next step will enable us to move out from netherworld of cyberspace to the physical world of smart spaces. ”
Leonard Kleinrock

“The rate of change — the most important thing to learn is how to learn — how to flexibly adapt to changes in the specific technologies, and how to keep an open mind on the new opportunities and possibilities as you move through your career. ”
Marc Andreessen
