The Science and Innovation Center Ulqin

On June 2nd, 2025, our Science and Innovation Center was inaugurated.

Today, the Science and Innovation Center in Ulcinj was officially inaugurated, marking an important step forward for education, technological development, and youth empowerment in the fields of science, innovation, and technology. The Center aims to create an inspiring environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and practical skills for young people in Ulcinj and beyond.

The opening ceremony was attended by high-level institutional and diplomatic representatives, including the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Montenegro, Barış Kalkavan, Montenegro’s Minister of Education Angjella Jakšić, the Mayor of Ulcinj Genci Nimanbegu, the CEO of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation T3 FoundationElvan Kuzucu Hıdır, and the International Director of TİKAUgur Tanyeli. The project was initiated and led by our foundr  Dr. Ilir Çapuni.

Speakers highlighted the importance of interinstitutional and international cooperation in strengthening education and innovation in the Ulcinj region. Emphasizing global challenges, they underlined that investing in science and innovation is essential for the benefit of all humanity.

In his address, Mayor Genci Nimanbegu noted that this is not just a new building, but a space where dreams are born, ideas are developed, and new generations are empowered to lead Ulcinj, Montenegro, and the wider region forward.

A special moment of the ceremony was a video message from Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of the T3 Foundation, who stressed the importance of technological education and collective progress for future generations.

The Center was established through a strong partnership between TİKA, the T3 Foundation, the Municipality of Ulcinj, and XL LABS Foundation. As part of the international Bilim Türkiye – Deneyap initiative, it will offer modern training in technology, robotics, artificial intelligence, programming, and other applied sciences.

The Science and Innovation Center – Ulcinj stands as a clear example of how local vision, supported by international cooperation, can create real opportunities for young people, even in peri-urban areas.
